Westport is a vibrant fishing and beach community featuring a wide variety of fun for all different folks. It is a great birding destination, with pelicans, cormorants, and herons fishing on the waterfront. Seals, sea lions, and sea otters populate the waterfront, while gray whales can be seen seasonally from the deck of the Westport Inn. Surfers can find nice waves year round, and folks can be seen fishing and crabbing off of the piers and beaches. The Westport Inn is located on a great walking and biking path that borders the beachfront, and leads all the way to the historic Westport Lighthouse.
